Your Duties

  • Lead and organize the technical operations of the ship
  • Manage personnel tasks within your area of responsibility
  • Ensure all deadlines for class confirmation/renewal are met
  • Ensure the operational readiness of main propulsion and auxiliary systems as well as all ship and hotel-related technical systems
  • Commission, operate, and monitor ship machinery systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Advise the captain on technical matters
  • Prepare for dockyard periods
  • Update technical documentation and maintain machine and oil logs
  • Order fuel, lubricants, and necessary spare parts
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste materials from ship operations
  • Comply with environmental regulations within your area of responsibility
  • Support the optimization of workflows and processes, and further develop the Quality Management Handbook
  • Perform deck watch duties when the ship is docked

Your Profile

  • Knowledge of ship operation technology
  • Experience in river and/or ocean shipping
  • Vocational training in the engine or metal industry
  • Seafarer’s service book and current medical fitness examination
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • High resilience and stress resistance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making competence
  • Organizational and planning talent
  • Initiative and sense of responsibility
  • Attention to detail and precision in work
  • High technical affinity and interest in continuous learning
